| FTP Program Settings | |
| For your page to be accessible by the world it must be located on a server (a computer with a mission) that is turned on and available 24 hours a day to the rest of the internet. Our web servers fit that bill, and the idea is that you create the HTML documents on your computer, then transfer them to ours so that anyone on the Web can read/access them. You transfer files using File Transfer Protocal (FTP). | |
| The remote directory for Personal accounts is: /usr/people/[the first letter of your username]/username (i.e. /usr/people/j/johnsim) The remote directory for domain clients is: /net/web/domain name (i.e. /net/web/johnsims.com) Note: Leaving the Remote Path field blank will automatically place you in your home directory upon connecting. |
